Senior Kyrese Rhodes represents the transformative power of faith-based education. Reflecting on his time at Providence Cristo Rey, Kyrese shares, “Providence Cristo Rey has shown me that people are still striving and working to be as close to God as they can.” His journey showcases how our school shapes students into academic achievers and faithful leaders inspired by the Gospel. Kyrese also reflects on the impact of his Theology classes, saying, “All the knowledge and comfortability I have gained through my Theology classes, I feel more comfortable going to spiritual places.”

 

Kyrese’s faith journey has been guided by his mentor, Mr. Gonzalez, who has been a key figure in his spiritual growth. As his sponsor for RCIA (the process for individuals to become Catholic and receive the sacraments of initiation), Mr. Gonzalez has supported Kyrese as he prepares to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist, deepening his connection to the Church.

 

The Eucharist, the source and summit of our faith, is at the heart of our community. It nourishes us spiritually and drives our mission to provide a rigorous college-prep education rooted in Catholic values.
